Hugely proud of this project.
I got a call from Vince Frost that the FT were launching a business title for the Weekend FT. After meeting the editor, I was hired very quickly as the art director and left Time magazine. Then followed three years of weekly issues, (most of which is a blur), but
I know during that time I did some good work and managed to give the mag its own cheeky personality.
As well as outstanding photography commissioned by Caroline Metcalfe, (now Director of Photography at Conde Nast), I had to use lots of graphic and typographic ideas to illustrate the magazine. We won a few magazine awards, circulation of the Weekend FT went
up by 20%, and then,
as with all good things,
it came to an end.
