Working on a bi-lingual publication can be tricky at the best of times. When one of those languages is Arabic, it’s even trickier, as it runs (what English people would call) backwards. This title is one of my regular contracts for Ink Publishing, and is the in-flight magazine for Jazeera Airways. Lots of fun to produce, I’m now something of an expert in designing features that start languages at opposite ends, and either meet, (or pass each other halfway), in the middle of the feature. I always commission an illustrated front cover, and have now built up a nice selection produced by some outstanding artists.
